How do I know what size shoe to buy online?

2. Crouch down and place your foot onto the piece of paper. You can also sit down if it’s more comfortable.
3. Using a pen or pencil, trace around your foot.
4. You then need to use a ruler to trace around the outside of your foot tracing, so that it sits inside a rectangle. To create the rectangle, draw a straight line on each side of your foot. You’ll need to draw a line on either side of your foot; at the lowest point of your heel; and at the highest point of your big toe.
5. Using a ruler, measure between the top and bottom parallel lines (from the highest point of your big toe to the lowest point of your heel), to determine the length of your foot. You can also measure between the two side lines to find the width of your foot, although most shoe stores generally just go by length.
