Sizing small for this style

I recently bought a pair of Net naked arches on sale but unfortunately they were faulty. I was given a full refund which was wonderful.
The staff informed me that the Nelly style was the same so bought a pair of the silver grey.
I have tried my hardest to wear them, put in the half insole but they are just too short.
I wore them out this morning and now my toes are all sore from hitting the end of the shoe.
I have other naked arches which are great but I am sorry that I was really misinformed by the staff.
Should have returned them but I figured it was too late.
Will probably have to donate to someone as I simply can't wear them.
So disappointed as these were to be my shoes for travelling later in the year.
I guess we live and learn.
